Pattern Hollow Spherical Buckle
Pattern hollow spherical buckle is spherical as a whole, the surface is covered with carefully designed hollow pattern. The pattern has a well-designed Chinese style Ruyi pattern, very ancient luxury country tide wind. Common are light gold, ancient silver, ancient gold and other metallic colors.
Features
1.Design
Use CAD software (such as SolidWorks, UG) to design the overall structure of the spherical buckle, including hollow patterns and connecting shaft hole details.
Hollow patterns can achieve symmetrical or complex textures through parametric design. Wall thickness must be ≥0.8mm to avoid breakage during casting.
2.,Metal Molding Process Die-Casting (Mainstream Process)
Applicable Material: Zinc alloy.
Preheat the mold to 180-220℃ and spray a release agent.
Inject molten metal (zinc alloy at 420-440℃) into the mold cavity under high pressure (30-100MPa), and maintain pressure for 5-10 seconds.
Remove the blank after mold opening, and cut off the sprue residue (gate residue) by punching.
Advantages: Suitable for mass production, with surface roughness Ra≤6.3μm, capable of forming complex hollow structures in one step.
3.,Surface Processing
Use a micro CNC engraving machine (spindle speed ≥20,000rpm) equipped with 0.5-2mm hard alloy milling cutters to mill hollow patterns along the designed path.
During processing, fix the spherical part with a fixture and achieve curved surface hollowing through four-axis with a tolerance controlled at ±0.05mm.

Material characteristics
Pattern hollow spherical buckle usually made of Zinc Alloy or Copper Alloy, with Stainless Steel used for some high-end models. Zinc alloy is more commonly chosen for bulk production..

Zinc Alloy:
Low density (approximately 6.6g/cm³) and low melting point (approximately 380℃), making it easy for die-casting and suitable for complex hollow spherical structures.
Strong adhesion for electroplating, capable of achieving matte, mirror, and other effects, offering high cost-performance.

Copper Alloy (e.g., brass):
Copper content of 60%-90%, better ductility, allowing for more precise hollow edges (minimum thickness 0.8mm), and superior oxidation resistance compared to zinc alloy, suitable for vintage or high-end designs.
Heavy texture (density approximately 8.9g/cm³), with warm tones after electroplating (such as bronze and dark bronze).

tainless Steel (e.g., 304 stainless steel):
Extremely corrosion-resistant (salt spray test ≥48 hours), with hollow structures not easily deformed, suitable for outdoor or high-humidity environments.
Surface requires electrolytic polishing to enhance gloss, with higher costs.
Application scenario
Application Scenarios: Evening gowns, trench coats, overcoats, blazers, etc.
Design Highlights:
Hollow floral patterns add a vintage and elegant touch to dresses (e.g., French court style).
Spherical buckles used in minimalist suits showcase understated luxury through matte black nickel electroplating.
Application Scenarios: Leather jackets, waistcoats, business shirts (as cufflinks).
Design Highlights:
Die-cast zinc alloy buckles with mechanical gear hollow patterns, surface aged treatment, suitable for American retro biker jackets.
