Characteristics of cotton fabric:

• Hygroscopicity
• Cotton fibers have good hygroscopicity. Under normal circumstances, the fibers can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, with a moisture content of 8 to 10%. Therefore, when they come into contact with human skin, they feel soft and not stiff. If the humidity of the cotton fabric increases and the surrounding temperature is high, all the water contained in the fibers will evaporate and disperse, keeping the fabric in a state of water balance and making people feel comfortable. • Thermal insulation
• Because cotton fibers are poor conductors of heat and electricity with extremely low thermal conductivity, and because cotton fibers themselves have the advantages of porosity and high elasticity, a large amount of air can be retained between the fibers. Air is also a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Therefore, pure cotton fiber textiles have good thermal insulation properties, and wearing pure cotton fabric clothing makes people feel warm.
